1. About Auto-Tech

Auto-Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile auto electrician service based in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire. We provide diagnostics, fault finding, and electrical repair services for all vehicle types, including EVs. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including our Roadside subscription plans.

2. Services

We offer mobile auto electrical services including diagnostics, battery & charging, starter & alternator repair, wiring repairs, AdBlue system repairs, and Topdon-level diagnostics. Our services are available on a pay-per-call-out basis or through our Roadside subscription plans.

3. Roadside Subscription Plans

3.1 Plan Tiers

We offer three annual subscription tiers:

  • Roadside (£500/year): 2 mobile repair call-outs per year, free diagnostic scan.
  • Roadside Plus (£850/year): 3 mobile repair call-outs per year, priority response, free diagnostic scan, roadside battery replacement.
  • Roadside Pro (£1,200/year): 5 mobile repair call-outs per year, exclusive 24/7 emergency line, priority response, free diagnostic scan, roadside battery replacement, 10% off parts & labour, family vehicle cover (2nd car), annual electrical health check.

3.2 Payment

All subscription plans are paid annually and upfront. Payments are processed securely through SumUp. Your subscription begins on the date payment is received and confirmed.

3.3 What's Included in a Call-Out

Each call-out includes the technician travelling to your location and performing diagnostic and/or repair work for one issue or related set of issues. Parts and materials may be subject to additional charges unless covered by a discount (e.g., 10% off for Roadside Pro members). The scope of work per call-out is at the technician's reasonable discretion.

3.4 Exceeding Call-Out Allowance

If you use all call-outs included in your plan, additional call-outs can be purchased at the standard rate. Contact us for current pricing.

3.5 Coverage Area

Subscription call-outs are available within our standard coverage area of approximately 75 miles from Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire. Requests outside this area may be accommodated at our discretion and may incur additional travel charges.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cooling-Off Period

You have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel your subscription and receive a full refund, provided no call-outs have been used during this period.

4.2 No Refund After Use or Cooling-Off

If you have used any call-outs within the 14-day cooling-off period, or if you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period has ended, no refund will be issued. The subscription is non-refundable in these circumstances.

4.3 How to Cancel

To cancel your subscription, contact us at [email protected] or call +44 7438 614536. Cancellations will be confirmed in writing.

4.4 Unused Call-Outs

Unused call-outs do not roll over to the next subscription year and are non-transferable.

5. Liability

While we take every care in providing our services, Auto-Tech shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of earnings, or damage to property beyond the scope of the repair.

Our total liability for any claim shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service or subscription plan. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide prompt service at all times, including 24/7 for Roadside Pro subscribers. However, response times may vary depending on location, weather conditions, demand, and the nature of the fault. We do not guarantee specific response times unless otherwise agreed.

7. Family Vehicle Cover (Roadside Pro)

The family vehicle cover included in the Roadside Pro plan extends the subscription benefits to one additional vehicle registered at the same household address. The additional vehicle must be registered with us at the time of subscription or by contacting us.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Existing subscriptions will be honoured under the terms in place at the time of purchase.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
